Jacqueline Boling Cothran

Jacqueline Boling Cothran, longtime resident of Selma, died at the age of 79 at her home on Mallory Drive on Nov. 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Frank Cothran III.
Mrs. Cothran was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
She is survived by her four children; daughter, Kathrine Cothran Holmes (Dwayne); and three sons, George Frank Cothran IV (Lauri), James Charles Cothran (Tracey) and David Boling Cothran (Tonya); grandchildren, Kathrine Cothran Barton (Morris), Grogan Sparks Cothran, Emily Vaughan Cothran, Hayes Cothran Havener (Ryan), Andrew Grey Cothran, Jordan Allen Cothran, David Boling Cothran Jr., Emma Layne Cothran, Reagan Louise Cothran, Peyton Reid Cothran, Amy Hollon Whitehead (Joseph), Kendall Holmes Turner (Kevin) and Summer Holmes Howard; great-grandchildren, Leonard Morris Barton IV, Frances Elizabeth Barton, Cohen Scott Whitehead, Korbin Delayne Howard and Austin Cash Howard. She is also survived by a brother, Charles Boling of Jackson, Georgia; and long-time friends, Aurelia Connor and Robert Pair.
Mrs. Cothran was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved music and played the piano for many church events. She loved to delight friends and family with her beautiful embroidery which always had her personal touch. Jackie worked with her husband, Frank, organizing and managing Cothran Stone Company.
Jackie was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (formerly First Presbyterian) and loved her Sunday School class where she attended as regularly as her health would allow.
There will be a memorial service at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church on Friday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m.
