Robert Murphy Price died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, in Selma.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Light officiating and Lawrence Brown – Service Funeral Home directing. The family will have a private burial at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Mary Melvin Craig Price. He is also survived by his sons, Robert Craig Price Sr. (Elizabeth) of Selma and Stuart Murphy Price (Colleen) of Atlanta. His grandchildren are Mary Elizabeth (Mollie) Parker (Sean), Robert Craig Price Jr., Hayley Elizabeth Price, Bishop Alexander Price and Paige Ashley Price. His great-granddaughter is Murphy Lee Parker. Other survivors are his sister, Ellen Craig Traylor (Johnny); niece, Kathryn Traylor Granthum (Mike); nephew, Walter Corley Traylor (Kathy), Walter Granthum, Peyton Ellen Granthum, Crawford Traylor, Ryan Traylor and Benton Traylor.

Mr. Price proudly served his country as a pilot in the United States Air Force. He served one year in Viet Nam, and was there when his first child was born.
