Mr. Albert Mims Jr., 77, of Selma, passed away Sept. 18, 2017, in Selma. Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at 11 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with pastor Ezekiel Pettway officiating and Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

He is survived by his wife, Mattie M. Mims; two sons, Samuel Giles and Earl Giles; four daughters, Velma Mims, Diana Mims (Terry), Alice Mims (Nelse) and Suzette (Kenneth) Mims/Hickman; three brothers, Matthew (Bessie) Mims, Ezzard Mims and Walter Allen; three sisters, Maldonia Peterson, Delia Mims and Willie Mae Mims; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
