While Hurricane Irma is forecast to bring Tropical Storm winds to eastern Alabama, Selma can expect gusts of 30-40 miles per hour and 1-3 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

Dallas County is included in a wind advisory. Conditions are expected to deteriorate late Monday morning across southeast Alabama and move northward through the afternoon and into the evening.

A downed tree or power line is possible for Dallas County. However, the worst weather is expected in eastern Alabama, where a tropical storm warning is in place.

Roughly east of Interstate 65, wind gusts of 45-60 miles per hour are possible as well as 3-5 inches of rain, according to the weather service.
