A 47-year-old Selma woman has been charged with attempted murder after stabbing a man in the neck Sunday, according to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson.

Jackson said Minnie Moore is being held without bond at the Dallas County Jail and was scheduled for an arraignment hearing sometime Tuesday at the Dallas County Courthouse.

An arrest report from the Dallas County Jail shows Moore was booked into jail around 11:02 p.m. Sunday night.

Details are limited at this time, but Jackson said Moore stabbed a male victim in the neck in what he called a “domestic violence situation.”

“She stabbed him and almost hit one of his main arteries,” Jackson said Monday.

“He’s going to survive. He was very fortunate.”

Jackson said the victim was transported to a medical facility outside of Dallas County.

Attempts to get more details on the incident from the Selma Police Department Monday were not successful. The Times-Journal will continue to reach out to investigators to get complete details.

According to court records, Moore has been arrested in the past for assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
