Mr. Emmitt O. Harris, 101, of Selma, passed away Aug. 12, 2017, at VA Hospital in Tuscaloosa.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Selma with the Rev. Darryl Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.
He is survived by his sons, John D. (Barbara) Harris and Ricky A. Harris; daughter, Joanne Malloy; brother, John C. Harris; sisters, Priscilla Lesure, Frankie L. Harris and Rosie Harris; a faithful companion, Esther Pettaway; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
