Janice Pugh Lyon, age 58, of Hayneville, passed away Aug. 3, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Pugh, and brother, Jerry Pugh.

She is survived by her husband, David Middleton Lyon Jr.; mother, Billie Messer Pugh; sons, David Middleton (Amber) Lyon III and Travis Harrison (Vanessa) Lyon; brothers, Keith (Teresa) Pugh and Eric (Susan) Pugh; grandchildren, David Lyon, Sawyer Lyon and January Lyon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017,  at 3 p.m. at Benton Baptist Church with brother Lee Tate officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Trickem with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Sandy Harrell, Duke Logan, William Lyon, Glenn Johnson, Harry Unger, Pierce Lane and Ronnie Holladay.

Janice was a devoted wife who loved her husband, Dave, faithfully for 38 years.

She loved her sons and grandchildren with all her heart.  Most importantly, her first love was Jesus, and she was a light for him to all she encountered.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Benton Baptist Mission Funds, 323 Washington St., Benton, AL, 36040.
