Lawrence Nathaniel Williams, age 89, a resident of Selma, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with pastor Steven Washington officiating. Interment will be held at Fairlawn Memory Gardens with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 61 Years, Nettie Williams; one son, Roderick Williams (Selma); one daughter, Shirley Combs (Birmingham); three brothers, Frederick (Pearlie) Williams (Birmingham); Jimmie Williams Jr. (Selma) and Walter Williams (Columbus, Georgia); two sisters, Verda King (Atlanta) and Mildred Smith (Hempstead, Texas); one God-brother, Arthur (Bernice) Lewis (Birmingham); one grandson, Calvin (Cyneetha) Evans II (Dothan); two great-grandchildren, Cayla Evans (Dothan) and Courtney Howard (Birmingham) and a God son, Willie Ed Smiley Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
