Kathleen Campbell Farrow, formerly of Marion Junction, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on July 10, 2017, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was born on July 31, 1933, in Elbert County, Georgia, to Carl Edward and Lexie Mae Queen Campbell. She graduated from Anderson College, later completing her bachelor’s in nursing from Emory University in Atlanta. While attending Emory she met James Leonard Farrow, a ministerial student and was married to him for 61 years.

Together they served churches throughout the Alabama West Florida United Methodist conference. Kathleen retired from nursing in 1988. She will be remembered for her faithfulness to serve with her husband in ministry, the joy she experienced from her grandchildren, her love of flowers, her kindness, her work ethic and her amazing cooking.

Surviving are her husband, James Leonard Farrow Jr. of Columbia, Tennessee; her sons, Paul Farrow (Jan) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Joel Farrow (Kaye) of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Carl Farrow (Allison) of Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Joshua Farrow (Elisa), Zach Farrow (Beth) of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Ali Shearer (Tyler) of Mineral, Virginia; Nathan Farrow (Rachel) of Birmingham; Caleb Farrow (Sarah) of Decatur; David Farrow (Brittany) of Newark, California; Alyssa Farrow of Salado, Texas; her brother, James William Campbell of Pendleton, South Carolina and her sister, Beth Ann Boland (Tommy) of Milton, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

There are 13 great-grandchildren; Asher, Isaac, Paxon, Finley, Silvan, Lincoln, Brooke, Hudson, Fielding, Daphne, Ivan, Lila and Judah.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Zelma Ruth Campbell and Sara Frances Campbell; and a brother, Thomas Lynwood Campbell.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 15 at Orrville United Methodist Church, 126 Mill Street South, Orrville, AL 36767. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
