Raymond Maurice “Red” Maske

Raymond Maurice “Red” Maske, age 76, of Scottsboro, and formerly of Selma, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, in a Scottsboro hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1941, to Mary Lucille Muir Maske and Raymond Ira Maske.

He was preceded by his first wife, Martha “Bobbie” Maske; parents; brothers, Charles Maske and Harold Maske; and sister, Sherry Maske Wingard. He is survived by his wife, Lee Anne Jones Maske of Scottsboro; daughter, Samantha Maske Carruth of Auburn; granddaughter, Mattie Carruth of Auburn; sisters, Marie Cain of North Augusta, South Carolina, Carol Friday of Burnsville and Faye Colburn of Selma; and brother, Mike Maske of Harpersville.

He graduated from Orrville High School. He served four years in the United States Air Force and retired from International Paper of Selma.

Graveside services will be held at New Live Oak cemetery on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing and Calvin Bowie officiating.
