Library kicks off summer programs

The Selma and Dallas County Public Library kicked off its summer programs Monday with a magic show.

More than 100 children made their way out to enjoy the show and many stuck around after to see what books were available and even check out some for themselves. It’s great to know that we have a library that cares so much about the kids in the community. Not only do they offer them fun activities over the summer, but they also encourage learning.

Over the break, the library will also be getting the children to think about the theme, “Build a Better World” where they can come up with their own ides to make the community a better place. It sounds like a fun summer for kids in the community.
