KellySue Raymond Giampietro

KellySue Raymond Giampietro, 55, a resident of Selma, passed away on April 23, 2017, at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham after a brief illness. She was born in Ithaca, New York, on Aug. 5, 1961.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Lyle Raymond of Dadeville. She is survived by her husband, Nicola Giampietro of Selma; mother, Colleen S. Martin (John H. Martin, Jr.) of Georgetown, Delaware; sister, Shelly Raymond De Jesus (Rafael) of Buford, Georgia; and stepmother, Jeanette Raymond of Dadeville.

She moved to Montgomery in her early twenties and later relocated to Selma, where she worked in the advertising department of the Selma Times Journal. She was a well-known Selma realtor affiliated with Cornerstone Realty and served as secretary and later as president of the Selma Board of Realtors. She was a graduate of Leadership Alabama Association of Realtors and also a graduate of Leadership Selma—Dallas County. She was president of the Selma Exchange Club, served on the board of the Selma Food Bank and on the board of Habitat for Humanity.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 309 Washington St., Selma, with graveside services to follow.
