Mr. McKinley Hooks, 71, of Selma, passed away April 28, 2017, in Selma.

Services are scheduled for May 6, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Joshua Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

He is preceded in death by his spouse, Mary (Louise) Allen Hooks; and parents, McKinley Hooks Sr. and Eddie Mae Lee.

He is survived by three sons, Michael Johnson, Demetrius Hooks and Derrill Allen; two daughters, Sonji (Hooks) Smith and Sherrill Johnson; six brothers, Eddie Dean Hooks, Robert Lee, McArthur Lee, Lee Edward Lee, Ronnie Lee and James Lee Jr.; two sisters, Margarette (Hooks) Lindsey and Della Ruth (Hooks) Harrison; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight nieces; nine nephews; a host of aunts and uncles; and special friend, Mary Johnson.
