Integrity Worldwide has been raising funds for a medal clinic in Kenya, Africa for years. Now, the nonprofit is finally about to see that dream become a reality.
The team of nine people, including co-founders Alan and Averee Hicks, left for Kenya on Wednesday and will get the chance to work in the clinic this week.
Construction of the Integrity Health and Dental Clinic isn’t quite finished but it is completed to the point that medical and dental clinics can be held during this trip.
This is great news for those that have worked hard over the years to make this happen. Integrity holds a 5K and 10K run every fall and the fuånds from those helped raise money for the clinic.
Integrity’s mission statement is to rebuild, renew and restore communities that have been destroyed by extreme poverty and the group has made an incredible difference in the communities in Meto. The group has provided clean drinking water through wells, constructed a library and established a feeding program for primary school children.
We wish this year’s group good luck on their journey.
