U.S. Highway 80 Sale start to a busy end of April

This weekend was just the beginning of a busy end to the month of April. Buyers and sellers were out and about Friday and Saturday for the Historic U.S. Highway 80 Sale, and dozens of children attended community Easter egg hunts.

It was great to see so many people having a good time this weekend, but the fun is just beginning.

This week and next there are several events on the calendar. The Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual golf tournament Wednesday. Old Cahawba is holding a memorial service for soldiers that died in the Civil War next Saturday at 2 p.m. Michael Johnson’s football and cheer camp is the same day. The Blackbelt Benefit Group’s Rock ‘n’ Ribs Benefit is the following week on April 29.
