Morgan baseball wins two games

Morgan Academy’s baseball team won games against Fort Dale and Edgewood Academy this week. The Senators are now 14-6 on the season. Here are the results for each of those games:
Morgan 2, Fort Dale 1

Morgan defeated Fort Dale 2-1 Tuesday in a pitcher’s duel. The Senators were led by Gunner Henderson, who was the game’s winning pitcher and who drove in one of Morgan’s two runs. The other run was brought in by Sawyer Hopkins. Brayton Brown and Britton Adams scored for Morgan in the game.
Morgan 12, Edgewood 1

The Senators blew out Edgewood Academy 12-1 Thursday afternoon. Hopkins was the winning pitcher. Bishop Price and Brayton Brown each had two RBIs. Henderson also had a RBI.
WCCS baseball sweeps Enterprise State

Wallace Community College Selma topped Enterprise State 14-6 and 12-4 in two games on Friday.

In game one, Ryan Harbin had three RBIs — part of a six RBI day — and Hunter Roberts brought in four runs as Wallace won 14-6.

In game two, the Patriots were led again by Harbin, who had three RBIs on three hits. Chandler Mullins, Quintarrious Arrington, Eric Black and Sloan Tyler also had two RBIs apiece for the Patriots, who won 12-4.

The Patriots are now 23-16 overall on the season and 8-10 in the Alabama Community College Conference.
