Charles Allen Golson, Sr., died Friday, April 7, 2017, after a brief illness.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Golson Jr.; mother, Margie Rush Golson; and his stepmother, Shirley Giles Pelham.

Mr. Golson is survived by his wife: Judy Harris Golson; sons: Charles Allen Golson Jr., (Dana), Christopher Scott Golson (Sherry); daughter: Peyton Golson; three grandsons, Reid Thomas Golson, Clayton Christopher Golson and Andrew Louis Golson; one granddaughter, Caroline Peyton Daniels; sister, Sue Golson Davis (Alan); and niece, Kara Shea Krohn (David).

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Randy deBrabant officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Honorary pallbearers will be his sons, grandsons, Michael Heath and Milton Ezelle.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to a charity of one’s choice.
