William “Bill” C. Courtney, 81, of Adger, passed away March 29, 2017.

Bill was a retired contractor and home builder. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Courtney; parents, Barney and Bessie Courtney; brother, Clyde Courtney; sisters, Bonnie Pearl Morgan, and Geneva Ott.

He is survived by his daughters, Denece Courtney and Debe Taylor (Richard); grandchildren, Rusty Harkey, Ryan Harkey (Ashley), Reid Harkey (Katie), Fisher Taylor (Debbie), and Hunter Taylor (Ebony); great-grandchildren Taylor Cox, Aubanie Harkey, Brooklyn Harkey, Caleb Harkey, Walker Harkey, Riley Taylor, Elora Taylor, Ensley Taylo, and Elizabeth Taylor; sisters, Ruby Fendley and Marie Swindle (Billy); and several nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Bible Comes to Life Church, located at 7258 Johns Rd., Adger, AL 35006.

The memorial service will be at 7 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Ryan Harkey officiating.
