David “D.A.” Augusta Williamson Sr., 91, of Selma, passed away on Sunday, March 26th, 2017, after a long illness.

Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Ashley’s J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at St. Paul CME at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Williamson is proceeded in death by his parents, Edward and Cornelia; loving wife, Stella; and his son, Aubrey. Surviving him are daughters, Florence (James) Stubbs and Katrina Faye Prowell; son, David Williamson Jr.; granddaughters: LaTonya (Pedro) Greene, Crystal (Tyrone) Wilkey, Michelle McDaniels, Kecia Prowell, Joneen Malone and Kelsey (Peter) Lawrence; grandsons, Kenneth Irvin and David Prowell; nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
