Dr. Robert Hanna DeWitt, 84, of Selma, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

A native of Marion Junction, Dr. DeWitt was a graduate of Orrville High School, Samford University, Southern Seminary and the University of Alabama. He held various pastoral, teaching and counseling positions through the state.

Dr. DeWitt is survived by his three children: Jena Figueroa of Franklin, Indiana, Mark DeWitt of Chicago, Illinois, and Timothy DeWitt of Indianapolis, Indiana. Also, there is one surviving sister, Ruby DeWitt Elkins of Louisburg, North Carolina.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at Marion Junction Cemetery with the Rev. Daniel Martin officiating and Lawrence Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
