William Frank Landers

William Frank Landers, 87, peacefully passed away on Feb. 24, 2017.

He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Campground Methodist Church.

“Billy,” as he was known by family, was born May 29, 1929, in Selma.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Lucille; and his parents, Tyree and Birdie Landers; siblings, Myrtle, Edmund T.J., Carolyn, Audell and Bonnie.

He is survived by one sister, Nell of Birmingham; and sons, William Tyree (Suzanne) of Paragould and Jackson Allan Landers of Jupiter, Florida; grandchildren, Christopher William and Elizabeth Landers of Paragould and Carrie Lynne Landers of Jackson, Mississippi; and Katie, Josie, Brooke and Jackson Laders.

Billy was an Air Force retiree and veteran of the Korean War. He was also retired from Ford Aerospace and Bendix Corporation. He enjoyed serving in Sunday school, being a volunteer fireman, fishing, building, cattle and grandchildren during his retirement.

Burial will be a private graveside ceremony.
