Several  homes, churches and other unique buildings in Selma and Dallas County will be open to the public during the upcoming 42nd annual Historic Selma Pilgrimage.

This year’s Pilgrimage will take place March 17-18. The annual event benefits  the Selma-Dallas County Historic Preservation Society.

Some of the homes included on this year’s tour include the Hunter-Coffee-Tipmore House (c. 1895), the Riggs-Morgan Boyd House (c. 1843), the Hill View House, the Gillis House (c. 1840) and the Hain-Harrelson Home (c. 1913)

Other stops are Arsenal Place Business Accelerator, Sturdivant Hall Museum, Heritage Village, Old Depot Museum, Valley Creek Presbyterian Church, Kenan’s Mill and Selma Interpretive Center.

A daytime  ticket is $35 while  a package ticket for all homes and Friday evening’s reception is $45.

Other options are available, including children’s tickets and admission into a single home.

Pilgrimage is put on by the historic preservation society and the city of Selma.
