Marceil Sherrill Wood, 89, born on Nov. 27, 1927, died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, in Newnan, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Orbie Smith (Woodie) Wood in 2009.

Marceil is survived by her daughters, Judy Wood Dabbs and Ginger Wood Reeder (Rob) of Newnan, Georgia; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Marceil was employed by Henry Brick Company in Selma for almost 40 years. She moved to Georgia to be close to her family in 2013.

Graveside service will be held, Saturday, Feb. 4 at New Live Oak Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
