Morgan Academy couldn’t keep up with Lakeside in the third place game of the class AAA, region 2 tournament Saturday at Fort Dale. The Senators lost 77-49, despite a 14-point performance from Sawyer Hopkins, who made the all-tournament team.

Jay Creech joined Hopkins in double figures with 10 points.

The Senators will play next Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Alabama Independent School Association tournament in Montgomery.

Morgan will play top seeded Glenwood Academy. The Senators will be the No. 8 seed.
