Mr. Matthew “Getty Boy” Smith, 41, of Selma, passed away Jan. 7, 2017, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for Jan. 14, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Sandridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Milton E. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Sandridge Cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

He is survived by his mother, Mary E. Smith; five sons, Mardrecuis Williams, Matthew Smith Jr., Kenderrius White, Jaylen Whatley and Wendell Whatley; five daughters, Keoshia Smith, Madison Smith, Ke’Ziah Williams, Myesha Whatley and Tyshawn Whatley; five brothers, George Smith Jr. III, Gregory Smith, Andre Smith, Anthony Smith and Terry Smith; four sisters, Melody Smith, Sheryl Smith, Linda Marshall and Mary L. Smith; one grandchild; 50 nieces and nephews; and devoted friend, Lachundra Whatley.
