Selma High School’s Jeff Huff and Keith High School’s Shatavia Moore will be featured on the cover of the upcoming Hoopla magazine.

Hoopla is the Times-Journal’s annual high school basketball preview magazine and will feature preview stories on all 14 local high school teams.

Moore and Huff received 984 votes and edged out Justyn Pettway and Regan Hewitt from Morgan Academy by 102 votes.

Southside’s Mark Wallace and Meadowview Christian’s Mallory Freine received 826 votes to finish third, Southside’s Ki’Onah Page and Morgan Academy’s Caleb Pitts were fourth with 770, Selma’s Jamya Smith and Ellwood Christian’s Justin Bufford had 687 votes; Meadowview’s Garrett Grantham and Dallas County’s Tyneshia Jones were sixth with 388 votes and in seventh was Dallas County’s Floyd Crusoe and Ellwood Christian’s Christina Martin.

There were 4,879 total votes cast in the contest, which ran last week on the Times-Journal’s Facebook page.

Hoopla is scheduled to publish inside the Times-Journal on Nov. 30.
