Monster March a success

Hundreds of children took part in Monday’s Halloween Monster March through downtown Selma. Local businesses gave out candy to trick-or-treaters, who were dressed as their favorite superheroes or cartoon characters.

The Monster March was hosted by the city of Selma and Main Street Selma and gave children a safe place to trick or treat on Halloween. That’s the most important thing.

While the kids were more than satisfied with their candy, parents had to be overjoyed that their children could safely trick or treat.

Safety is always one of the biggest concerns for parents on Halloween and the monster march alleviated those worries.

Plus, there’s something special about watching all the smiling children walk downtown in their costumes. And now that Halloween is out of the way, the countdown to Thanksgiving and Christmas is underway.
