A 44-year-old Selma woman was killed and three others were injured Saturday night in a head-on collision.
Senior Trooper Reginal King identified the deceased as Tamera Rena Billingsley Mayo.
According to King, the two-car accident happened around 7 p.m. on Alabama Highway 14 near the 112 mile marker, three miles west of Selma.
King said Mayo, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was killed when the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix she was driving collided head-on with a 2013 Mercedes Benz driven by Valerie England from Marion.
Mayo was pronounced dead at the scene, while England and two other passengers were airlifted to Birmingham hospitals for treatment.
It is not clear how serious their injuries are.
The accident is still under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Melvin Miller Funeral Service is handling Mayo’s funeral arrangements.
