Dale R. Curry passed away suddenly on June 9, 2016. A native of Indiana, he had resided in Selma for over 50 years.  First arriving while on active duty with the U.S. Air Force and remaining as both a business owner and then later as the Dallas County Tax Assessor. His retirement years were spent in North Carolina surrounded by family, loving friends and amazing neighbors.

Mr. Curry is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his wife Hollis C. Curry, his son Kyle and his mother-in-law Levie (Bamma) Coleman.  He leaves behind his daughter Karen (Tod) Sindel, son Kelly Curry, grandchildren Sumner, Creek and Makenzi Curry and a woman whom he loved dearly, Jeanie Kirk.

Our dad loved sports, hunting, fishing, dancing and helping others.

We invite his family and friends to celebrate with us on Saturday, Sept. 24 at New Live Oak Cemetery with a grave side service at 3 p.m.   Afterwards, come raise a glass and share a story with us as we celebrate his life at The Sand Bar.
