Larry “Pete” Hale

Larry “Pete” Hale, of Selma, took his flight to Heaven at the age of sixty-eight.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Clarice Hale, and sister, Bonnie Bay.

He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Christine Hale; son. Rodney (Karen) Hale; daughter, Paula “Sissy” (Dennis) McDaniel; three wonderful grandsons, Hunter Hale, Austin Tubbs and Sage Hale; two sisters, Sandra Kendrick and Sharon Styron; brother, Roger Hale and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Pete will be Saturday, Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. at Joy Baptist Church, Hwy 80, in Selma with the Rev. Michael Beard and Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Park Chittom, Jr., Dr. Shane Lee and the staff at Perry County Nursing Home, especially the “A” Hall ladies.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the UAB Anatomical Program, 1720 2nd Avenue, South, Birmingham, AL 35294.
