The project’s mission is to assist injured veterans of the military following the September 11 attacks.

“This Independence Day, we continue to honor and give thanks to our military and their families for the sacrifices they make for our nation and the world,” said President and CEO of Southeastern Grocers Ian McLeod in a press release. “We fully recognize the selfless contributions of those who have, and continue to serve.

“This Fourth of July, we are once again donating every cent of every dollar of profit generated as just one way we can show our support.”

Customers can also make additional donations at checkout.

With each donation, customers will received a dedication card to write messages for veterans.

The messages will be displayed on the Wall of Honor in every Winn-Dixie store.

Last year, Southeastern Grocers raised more than $3 million for wounded veterans.
