Mr. William Timothy Averett, age 64 of Monroeville passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Mr. Averett was a native of Selma but had lived in Monroeville for the past 30 years. He was a graduate of Montevello University. Mr. Averett was a member of Experimental Aircraft Association and American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association. He was retired from the Alabama Department of Revenue.

Mr. Averett was preceded in death by his father William Wayborn Averett.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn W. Averett of Monroeville; his mother Sara M. Averett of Selma; two daughters Jessica Ruth Averett of Calera and Melissa Averett Kim of Montgomery; one sister Linda Averette Hagood of Selma and three grandchildren Caleb Averett Kim, Asher William Kim and Amos Edward Kim.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Kim officiating.
