“It always feels good to give back in some way,” said MainStreet Community Educator Mary Hodo. “Donating blood is the gift of life. With one pint of blood, you can save up to three lives.”

All donors must be at least 16 years or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and show photo identification. Minors must have parental permission.

All donors will receive a T-shirt as well as a free cholesterol screening. Donor information will remain confidential. The drive was not only formed to give back to the community but to pay tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting tragedy.

For any additional information or to sign up, contact Hodo at (205) 410-5197.
