Local business owners Tonya and Bobby Boddie have decided to move their flower shop, Pringle Petals, to a new location.

The Boddies knew they needed a change and more space and found that at their new location at 107 Broad St.

“I’ve had a lot of customers and families to tell me that they couldn’t find us, and I would ask why. Then I found out that we were hidden … [moving] did put us on the map,” Tonya said.

Opened for two years in the Selma area, Pringle Petals specializes in floral arrangements for everyday occasions as well as funeral arrangements. They also offer gifts and accessories.

The name of the business comes from her maiden name “Pringle” and the word flower “Petals.” The business operates in Prattville, Hayneville and Montgomery, where Tonya owns a flower studio.

Boddie is hoping to give back to the community by offering young woman a chance to work in her store during the summer.

“Our goal is to bring in more youth to train them and teach them to my business,” Tonya said.

The store is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
