Local animal groups will set up at the store as part of Purina Days, an in-store event from June 8-19 that highlights pets and livestock and the tools needed to properly care for animals.

Saturday’s main event will include a showcase of live animals, expert advice and best-in-class products for raising a variety of animals, including domestic pets, as well as cattle, horses, rabbits and other livestock.

The store will also host community groups and activities, including Pet Adoption with The Humane Society Central Alabama.

Tractor Supply store manager Chris Conrad said he is looking forward to the event as well as meeting new people.

“I’m most excited about getting the community involved to let them know what we have to offer at Tractor Supply,” Conrad said.

The Humane Society of Central Alabama’s Lynn Sanders wants people to know that Tractor Supply offers great products for animals. She also hopes that some pets get adopted this year.

“We have had two pets to be adopted in our program last year, and I hope that it happens again,” Sanders said.
