Youth roundup: baseball and softball games from May 12 and 13

EDITOR’S NOTE: Here are more game recaps from games played as part of the Selma Recreation Department youth baseball and softball leagues. These recaps are provided by the recreation department and published as often as possible.

Steve Lane’s Truck and Auto 17, Rehab Associates 16 (5-6)

Steve Lane’s won edged out Rehab Associates with a 17-16 win. Ali Jamil, Brenden Stallworth, Cameron Reese and Kaden Peoples scored two runs each for Steve Lane’s. JaMarion Wilson, Jamarji Acoff, Marcus Robinson, Braylin Barnett, Joshua Sajna and Dakota Carter scored once. For Rehab Associates, Evin Jackson, Julian Dixon, Ryder Hughey and Jaidan Savage crossed home plate three times. Dixon and Hughey hit a home run. Rives Whiddon scored twice for Rehab Associates.

 

Cosby Company 11, Rountree Outdoors 9 (5-6)

Tristan Lewis, Michael Hosea, Jaidan Rubin and Javion Johnson each scored two runs for Cosby Company to lead their team over Rountree Outdoors 11-9. Jakobi Freeman, Ethan Jackson and Traceton Abbott also scored for Cosby Company. For Rountree Outdoors, Jaylan Walker, Jordan Tyus, DeMarco Spicer, Devin Sharpe, JaCorey Collins, Cameron Davis, Kyson Thomas, Jesse Blocton and James Stone all scored one run each.

 

May 13

Cosby Company 20, Air Pro 18 (5-6)

Rishad Holiday and Javion Johnson scored four times each to give Cosby Company a 20-18 win over Air Pro. Michael Hosea hit a home run as one of his three runs, while Traceton Abbott and Ethan Jackson also scored three times for Cosby Company. To round out Cosby Company’s 20-run outing, Tristan Lewis scored twice and Courtney Cook scored once. For Air Pro, Aryon Rucker, Damun Hatcher, John Adams, Bentley Sims, David Smith, Mason Lowe and Anthony Woods crossed home plate two times. Drake Nichols, Brody Irwin and Jamarius Beal scored one time each.

 

Rountree Outdoors 19, Steve Lane’s Truck and Auto 6 (5-6)

Jaylan Walker, DeMarco Spicer, Devin Sharpe and JaCorey Collins all scored three times to push Rountree Outdoors past Steve Lane’s 19-6. Octavius Tyus scored twice and James Stone and Kyson Thomas crossed home plate once each for Rountree. JaMarion Wilson scored twice for Steve Lane’s, while Ali Jamil, Jamarji Acoff and Cameron Reese scored once.
