David Spangenberg passed away May 7, 2016, at the age of 55. He was born January 24, 1961, to George and Flora Spangenberg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Spangenberg; later wife, Linda Faye Thompson; brother, John Spangenberg Jr.; nephew, Michael Nelson Spangenberg; and son, David Julian.

He is survived by his children, Johnny (Anetta), Melissa (Mike), Teresa (Jerry), April and Georgia (Mike S.); step-children, Michael (Desere’), Jennifer and Richard; his parents, George and Flora Spangenberg; sister, Marissa Tiana Spangenberg; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 13 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Allen, Ronnie, Michael, Aubry, Brian and Melvin.
