The Ellwood Christian Eagles’ first ever trip to the baseball playoffs ended in two games.

The Eagles lost a doubleheader to Pleasant Home on the road Thursday, falling 11-1 in the first game and 14-3 in the second game. Despite being eliminated from the playoffs, Ellwood head coach Gary Crum was proud of his team for reaching the postseason.

“I’m very happy for the boys,” Crum said. “They made it this far, being such a very young team.”
