EDITOR’S NOTE: Here are more game recaps from games played as part of the Selma Recreation Department youth baseball and softball leagues. These recaps are provided by the recreation department and published as often as possible. 

April 4

Dallas Air & Heat 6, Henry Brick 2 (7-8)

Raquez Broadnax and Javen Gipson scored to runs to give Dallas Air & Heat a 6-2 win over Henry Brick. Crystan McCune and Sammy Jackson III added a run each to Dallas Air & Heat’s total. Amadrion Smith and Calvin Drake III scored for Henry Brick. Dallas Air & Heat led 3-0 in the fourth inning, Henry Brick scored two runs in the fifth inning and Dallas Air & Heat added three more runs in the sixth inning.

 

Wood Orthodontics 15, Selma Lions Club 2 (9-10)

Wiley King, Tommie Belcher and Presley Fancher each scored two runs to push Wood Orthodontics to a 15-2 victory over Selma Lions Club. Twelve players from Wood Orthodontics scored runs, including Christian McPhillips, Allen Johnson, Timothy Coleman, DeAndre Chestnut, Milton Hand, Braiden Baswell, Jack Johnson, Tommy Tisdale and Moss Jones. For the Selma Lions Club, Rasheed Johnson and Titus Lanier scored.

 

Captain D’s 6, Selma Crossfit 2 (7-8)

Jacobie Reese scored two runs and Quamarion Pernell hit a home run to lead Captain D’s over Selma Crossfit 6-2. Jake Sams and Trey’Von Effinger scored for Selma Crossfit.

 

Neely Charter 6, KFC 2 (9-10)

Joshua Palmer scored two runs for Neely Charter to lead his team to a 6-2 victory over KFC. Tyshawn McGuire and Tristin Blocton each scored for KFC.

 

First Cahawba Bank 18, American Legion 15 (7-8)

Five players on First Cahawba Bank scored multiple runs to beat American Legion 18-15. Olivia Stone, LyShell Richardson, Jaidyn Dixon, Jaikira Colvin and Darrica Whitlock each scored two runs for First Cahawba Bank. Alicyia Hosea, Rakyah Gregory, Jakira Tolbert, Cadreanna Moore and Jakaiya Black also scored for First Cahawba Bank. Hadley Verhoff scored three runs for American Legion. Sophia Clark, Aubrey Moore, Addison Bond, Regan Sebren and Jada Dunning scored a pair of runs for American Legion. Felicity Drake and Elizabeth Manning also scored for American Legion.

 

Sierra Mist 15, Cougar Chevron 1 (7-8)

Twelve Sierra Mist players scored to beat Cougar Chevron 15-1. Jaden McGee, MarTasis Hardy and Madison Hudson all scored two runs. Breanna Bennett, Kensley Browder, TyLiyah Sheppard, Nicole Hollaway,

Jalasiah Sutterwhite, Kalexis Cole and Marianna Drammeh all scored a run for Sierra Mist. Ashanti Davis was the lone Cougar Chevron player to score.

 

Dallas Avenue Pharmacy 9, Mee Too 3 (11-12)

A five-run second inning pushed Dallas Avenue Pharmacy past Me Too 9-3. Kemari Eaton and Nelson Snow Jr. scored runs and Jeremiah McMillan and Keviyon Haynes scored each scored two runs. For Me Too, Benjamin Feister, Matthew Hand and Thomas Smitherman scored runs.

 

Co-Op 5, Quality Trophy 4 (11-12)

Co-Op overcame a 4-0 deficit and scored five runs in the last two innings to edge Quality 5-4. Jamarion Sanders, Demaje Gunn, Kevin Orange and Dylan Walker scored for Co-Op. Patrick Hisel, Allen Holt, Jaevon Williams and Eli Cleary scored for Quality.

 

April 5

Trustmark 7, Fuller Building Supply 2 (7-8)

Rhett Thomas hit a home run to lead Trustmark to a 7-2 win over Fuller Building Supply. Alex Johnson and Coby Carter scored for Fuller.

 

Neely Charters 20, Smitherman Brothers 2 (9-10)

Jason Rogers Jr., Joshua Palmer, Quinderius Chambers, J. Acoff, J. Hardy and Jamier Edwards each scored two runs for Neely Charters in the 20-2 win. Cole Adams and Amarii Rucker each scored for Smitherman Brothers.

 

Bent Tree 9, Reliable 5 (11 & 12)

Bent Tree’s Robert Moore scored two runs in his team’s 9-5 win over Reliable. Matthew King, Robert Beers, Randall Beers, Noah Smith, Nathan Johnson, Matthew Wright and Caleb Hopkins all scored for Bent Tree. DaMarious Bender, JoTavius Hamilton, MartChavious Johnson and Travis Thomas scored for Reliable.

 

April 7

Sierra Mist 15, First Cahawba bank 1 (7 & 8)

Sierra Mist’s Breanna Bennett and MarTasis Hardy scored three runs apiece to lead their team to a 15-1 win over First Cahawba. Jaden McGee, Amirrah Brown, Kalexis Cole, Marianna Drammeh, TyLiyah Sheppard, Nichole Hollaway, Nakaiya Stubbs, Jalasiah Sutterwhite and Kensley Browder also scored for Sierra Mist. Olivia Stone scored for First Cahawba.

 

Dallas Avenue 14, Farmer’s Co-Op 4 (11-12)

Tyrell Woods Jr. and Joshua Brown each scored three runs to lead Dallas Avenue to a 14-4 win over Farmer’s Co-Op. Ja’Michael Goings, Brenton Oliver, Kevin Harris and Devin Gumpton each scored for the Co-op.

 

Bent Tree 10, Quality Trophy 9 (11-12)

Matthew King scored two runs to lead Bent Tree to a 10-9 win over Quality Trophy. Bent Tree scored runs in the final and third inning to win the game. Jaevon Williams, Eli Cleary and Remarion Coleman scored two runs apiece for Quality Trophy.

 

KFC 13, Wood Orthodontics 1 (9-10)

Tristin Blocton, Mi’Uhon Callen , Joshua Davis III and Tariq Mangram each scored two runs apiece for KFC in a 13-1 win over Wood Orthodontics. Byron Oliver, Kirklin Ellison, Jarvarius Marks, Tyshawn McGuire and Jordan Lamar also for KFC. Wiley King scored for Wood Orthodontics.
