Jessie “Gate” Phillips Jr., 64, of Selma, passed away April 7, 2016, at Vaughan Regional. Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, 2016, 10 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Pastor Debra Phillips officiating. He is preceded in death by his father, Jessie James Phillips Sr.; step-father, Captain William Lewis Brantley; sister, Jessica Nan Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Eloise Tate Brantley; two sons, Dexter Hatcher and Phillip York; daughters, Jasmine York and Ashley York; aunt, Anita Hollis; two nieces, Niko Phillips and Justice Richardson; two nephews, Marcus Phillips and Zachery Phillips; special caregiver at Warren Manor, Nina Fails.
