The Morgan boys’ soccer team lost 1-0 to the Coosa Valley Rebels Tuesday at home. 

The Rebels scored the only goal of the game three minutes before halftime on a free kick from 50 yards out. Rance Morgan, who used to play for the Senators, didn’t allow a goal for Coosa Valley. Morgan boys head coach Jay Minter said despite the loss, he couldn’t be more proud of the way his team played.

 

Coosa Valley 5, Morgan 0 (girls)

The Morgan Senators lost 5-0 to the Coosa Valley Rebels Tuesday at Morgan. After falling behind 2-0, the Senators got a corner kick but couldn’t convert.

In the second half, Morgan had a couple open crosses in front of the goal, but none of the shots got past Coosa Valley’s goalkeeper.
