Gertrude “Gert” C. Johnson, 76, of Selma, entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2016, in Selma. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 15 at noon at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church on Summerfield Road with pastor Nicole Slater officiating. Burial in New Live Oak Cemetery with Walker Mortuary directing.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Dave V. Johnson; her children, Reginald Cunningham of Selma; Kelvin (Jacqueline) Cunningham of Auburn; Marvin Johnson of Tacoma, Washington, Frederick (Gladys) Johnson of Fort Deposit, Joyce (Clifford) Galloway of Fayetteville, Georgia and Paulette Richardson of Selma; brother George Cunningham Jr. of Detroit;  a loving, devoted sister Mary Stallworth of Cincinnati; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and many devoted friends.
