Mrs. Sarah Kate Harrell Padgett of Marion Junction passed away March 5, 2016, in Marion Junction. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Marion Junction with the Rev. Rufus Tolbert Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in New Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. She is survived by her spouse, Louis Padgett Jr.; sons, Michael (Betty) Padgett, Louis (Yvette) Padgett, Darryl Padgett, and Quentin Padgett; daughters, Andrea Padgett Granger, Monique Padgett Garlington; grandchildren, Patrice Padgett, Jackson Padgett, John Padgett, Darryl Padgett Jr., Danielle Padgett, Dominic Padgett, Teresa Lopez, Kaitlyn Garlington, Altouro Willis, Jacquise Terry; great-grandson, Aydan Jones; sisters, Ozetta Harrell; a faithful sister and friend, Shirley Holmes, whom was raised along as a sister whom loved and cared for her until the end; host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in the name of Sarah Kate Padgett to New Morning Star Baptist Church Missionary Society, Marion Junction and the National Kidney Foundation at 220 Peachtree St. Suite 1040, Atlanta, GA 30303.
