Dora Alice Quarles, age 78, of Pensacola, FL, passed away March 9, 2016. She was born December 17, 1937, in Tyler to the late Robert E. Quarles and Hortense Calloway Quarles.

Dora worked for the Red Cross all her life and served worldwide on military bases where she made many friends. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Pensacola, Florida.

Survivors include her brother, Bobby Quarles of Selma; her sisters, Maxine Hopkins of Tildenand Mary Lou Stubbs of Duluth, Georgia; her nieces and nephews, Donna Kee, Shirley Billingsley, Skip Hopkins, Scott Hopkins, Chris Stubbs and Chad Stubbs. In accordance with Dora’s wishes, she will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710. National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
