Dixie Flips gymnastics team successful in events

The Dixie Flips gymnastics team competed at the Gymstar Invitational on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday Feb. 8.
In the level 2 group, Alyssa McCloud placed second on vault, fifth on bars, fourth on beam, second on floor and fourth all-around. Molly Bohannon placed second on vault, bars, beam, floor and all-around. Madalyn Stevens placed second on vault, seventh on bars, fourth on beam, fifth on floor and seventh all-around. Hadley Verhoff placed first on vault, third on bars, third on beam, fourth on floor and third all-around. Sarah Moore placed ninth on vault, sixth on bars, seventh on beam, seventh on floor and eighth all-around.
In the level 3 group, Jaden McGee placed second on vault, second on bars, first on beam, third on floor and first all-around. Cameran Duncan placed fourth on vault, fourth on bars, fifth on beam, ninth on floor and seventh all-around. Brooke Egbert placed ninth on vault, sixth on bars, seventh on beam and seventh all-around. Keenan Lee McHugh placed sixth on vault, ninth on bars, sixth on beam, 10 on floor and ninth all-around. In the all-around, Keenan Lee McHugh placed first, Cameran Duncan second, Ruth Stevens third, Shyana Montoro fourth, Jaden McGee fifth, Madalyn Stevens seventh and Molly Bohannan eighth.
In the level 4 competition, Evey Craig placed 10th on vault, ninth on bars, sixth on beam, ninth on floor and 10th all-around.
The Dixie Flips compete again on March 4 – 6 in Tuscaloosa at the Tuscaloosa Tumbling Tides annual Clover Classic.
Dixie Flips compete at Crimson Classic
The Dixie Flips Gymnastics team competed in its first meet of the spring season on January 23 at the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa.
The Level 2 gymnasts started the meet out for the Dixie Flips. Shyana Montoro placed third on vault, 10th on bars, second on beam, fourth on floor and seventh all-around. Hadley Verhoff placed fifth on vault, seventh on bars, seventh on beam, fifth on floor and seventh all-around.
The level 3 gymnasts competed next, with Jaden McGee placing fourth on vault, sixth on bars, fourth on beam, fifth on floor and fourth all-around. Ruth Stevens placed sixth on vault, ninth on bars, seventh on beam, eighth on floor and eighth all-around. Keenan Lee McHugh placed seventh on vault, eighth on bars, fourth on beam, eighth on floor and eighth all-around. Brooke Egbert placed 11th on vault, 10th on bars, 10th on beam, 10th on floor and 10th all-around.
Evey Craig, the only level 4 gymnast, competed Saturday afternoon and placed eighth on vault, ninth on bars, 19th on beam, eighth on floor and ninth all-around.
