Shirley Lee Dunlap, lovingly known as “Nanny” to everyone who knew her, was born on Nov. 2, 1936 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 12, 2016. Nanny was the last surviving sibling of her family being predeceased by her father and mother, William and Myrtle Dunlap, two brothers, Bugg Dunn and Bobby Dunlap, two sisters, Catherine Smith and Dorothy Green, all of Nashville, Tennessee, and one sister, Annie Duke, of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Nanny is survived by two daughters, Cindy Lou Lusk and Cheryl Lynn Lawrence (Ken) of Selma; three grandchildren, Jason McDaniel (Tracy) of Millbrook; Natasha Wells (Chris) of Montgomery and Amber Lawrence of Selma; six great grandchildren: Danielle, Mastin, Penelope, Avie, Kenlynn and Channing; and two great great granddaughters, Lilly and Jude.
Abiding by her wishes, arrangements are being made for a Memorial Service for friends and family to come together and celebrate her life on earth and to ask God for her eternal life in Heaven. Further information will be forthcoming.
