Woodham Kemmer followed his 20-point night Thursday with a 19-point output Saturday as the Morgan Academy Senators (9-10) defeated the Fort Dale Academy Eagles 55-52. Morgan trailed 27-22 at halftime, but completed a comeback to end the regular season on a high note.

Jackson Henderson scored 11 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Sawyer Hopkins added eight points and eight rebounds. Harrison Adams tallied six points and grabbed six rebounds.

Morgan finished 1-3 in region play.

The Senators face Pike Liberal Arts in the first round of the regional tournament Thursday at Fort Dale Academy.

 

Fort Dale 45, Morgan 33 (girls)

The Morgan Academy Senators (6-12) scored 26 second-half points in a 45-33 loss to the Fort Dale Academy Eagles Saturday at Morgan in the Senators’ regular season finale. Emily Sherrer led the Senators with 11 points.

Mary Stewart scored eight points and Ellie Adams added five points.

Morgan faces Escambia Academy in the first round of the regional tournament Thursday at Fort Dale.
