Sam W. Summers, Jr. passed away Jan. 18, 2016, at the age of 71.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam W. Summers, Sr. and mother, Signa Suttles Summers.

He is survived by his sons, David Summers and Slade Summers; grandchildren, Kyle Summers, Kayla Summers and Shawn Summers; and sister, Susan Tackett Hunter.

Graveside services will be Thursday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home between noon -12:45 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Ray Denmark, Cecil Doc Sims, Thomas Dagostin, Cuzz Cardwell, Burt Fisher and Jeff Mott.
