Ret. Master SGT. James F. Potter passed away December 19, 2015, at the age of 91. He was born May 17, 1924, in Tennessee.

One of the joys of his life was training horses.

He was preceded in death by his adored wife, Lorenna F. Potter; father, Lawrence Potter and son, Rickey Lee Potter.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynetta P. (Robert) Hicks; grandchildren, Jeremy F. (Morgan) Hicks and Kristen Leigh Hicks; and special friends, Edna H. Hughes and Wayne Little.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bill Gardner officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Skinner, Steve Lane, Mack Wilkerson, Hoot Gibson, Reggie Bennett, Wayne Little and the Hardy Sunday School Class.
