Clay N. Cook, age 55, of Selma, passed away Dec. 14, 2015.
Clay was preceded in death by his parents, Awford and Sylvia Cook and father-in-law, Charles Stough.
Surviving are his wife, Sara Cook; sister, Greta (Mark) Jones; mother-in-law, Maxine Stough; brother-in-law, Bubba (Demisha) Stough; sister-in-law, Lea Tidmore and nieces and nephews, Laura Tidmore, Anna Tidmore, Mary Kathryn Tidmore; Brandon (Lindsay) Stough, Megan (David) Johnson, Holly Jones and Jackson Jones.
Clay was the picture of innocence, a wonderful person in a corrupt world. We rejoice that Jesus wanted him in heaven and we know Clay is free of pain and not nervous about the next procedure. Clay loved everyone and had a great affection for pets. Clay will be missed by all.
Clay worked with Lance, Inc. as a very dedicated salesman for 30 years and with the city of Selma at Sturdivant Hall for the last year, where he adored his co-workers.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cory Horton and the Rev. Clarke Skelton officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Lee Pickering, Brandon Stough, Allen Weldon, Kevin Parr, Gregg Posey, David Hulsey, Paul Sturdivant and Jack Aday.
